Event FAQs

The Steps for SOS 5K Run/Walk will be held on Saturday April 30th at FLA LIVE ARENA. Don’t forget to post pictures of you and your team doing your 5K! Be a part of our social media movement and tag us in your pictures using the hashtag #stepsforsos on Facebook and/or Instagram or send your photos to ihirsch@sosflorida.com.
Registration is FREE for walkers and $25 for runners!

 
This year's event is going to be held at FLA LIVE Arena - 1 Panther Pkwy, Sunrise, FL 33323
The Steps for SOS 5K Run/Walk event is open to everyone! Household participation is encouraged (SOS community ambassador, neighbors, siblings, parents/guardians, strollers, pets, etc.). Make sure to invite friends and family to join your team!
Most participants will finish the course by 10:00 am. Everyone is invited to stick around for festivities, breakfast, awards, and our closing ceremony.
The opening ceremony will begin at 8 AM! Stay on the look out for the email with day of event details.
Steps for SOS will take place rain or shine.
Your money helps SOS fulfill our promise of healing, hope and home to the 72 foster children growing up in our Village in Coconut Creek and the 100 or so alumni we continue to help in South Florida.
We have a suggested $100 fundraising goal. This is not a requirement, but we encourage all of our runners and walkers to ask their friends to support the steps they make on behalf of our kids. Participants who raise $100 or more will receive a special event t-shirt.

Participants who raise $500 or more are our SOS CHAMPIONS and will receive exclusive benefits and incentive opportunities during the campaign.
